Topic: Not able to use templete correctly

TWS edit attachments: replaced .doc file with image


Hi Hugh, sorry to bother you but I've updated all the sounds, sib 7 and templete.  When I try to use the snare, toms or bass the map doesn't work and the sounds are incorrect.  I'm sure I put something in the wrong place but after two days of fishing I need help. I've tried keyboarding them in and mouse and neither puts the right notes or sounds in the right place.
Any advise would be appreciated.  Bob

Hi Bob

The file you sent me is not a copy of the Template. In order to access everything, you need to do one of these two things:


  • For each project, make a copy of "VDL_Template_7.0a.sib", rename it. Open the file in Sibelius and begin working.
  • Follow the instructions in Appendix C of the Readme file that's included in the template package.

So iguess what I've been trying to do it work backwards and change the file to be able to use the templete.  The percussion parts as you can tell haven't been written yet.  That is one of the problems.  Can I delete the perc staves that are there and plug in new staves using the templete?
