When am using the battery template, the sounds from VDL work but the notes are not in the correct place. I'm assuming it's a midi map issue. I have placed the xml files in the midi device annotation folder. In my old program there was a column labeled perc midi maps, in the new one it's not there.

The column for the Percussion MIDI maps may be made visible by selecting it from the Custom View button on the Score Manager Page.
Awesome that worked. One more issue... for some reason in the templates I am unable to use the shortcuts articulations. Such as accents I hold A and click where I want them.
I saw that post in the Tapspace forums. At the moment, I'm attempting to figure out what happened with those shortcuts (metatools). In the mean time, you may reassign those metatools. For information on how to create metatools consult the Finale On-Line Help guide.
Has there been a resolution to the metatool issue? I too am having an issue with Articulation Shortcuts.
The most recent version of Finale has the metatools available in the Articulation Tool. I have not checked older versions recently. There is information in the Finale Help Guide on how-to create metatools.
