Title: Inputting Numbers Above Repeat Measures
Post by: bobbyscottmusic on February 12, 2016, 11:59:03 AM
Hey guys,

I am looking to see if there is a way to input numbers of measures for repeats when there are multiple repeat bars (see picture below). I realize that I could just insert small text above a measure, but I'm wondering about a feature that is made specifically for this use.

Have help?
Bobby

Hi Bobby

Hmm... I don't recall that being a specific feature. If nothing else, wait towards the end of the writing project to copy/paste/edit items/objects into place.

This is a Sibelius feature. See House Style > Engraving Rules > Bar Rests. Under the section for "Repeat Bars", you can select how often 1-bar repeats get numbered (sounds like you're looking for "every 1 bar".

I have Sibelius 6, so getting to the correct option may be slightly different in other versions, but I'm sure it's there.
