Noteheads and placement using controller

I'm having trouble using my controller with VDL in Finale. I get some of the correct note heads, but others are yellow are in the wrong place. If I enter without the controller everything is fine.

Which versions of Finale and the templates are you currently using? It is probably a mismatch between the Percussion MIDI Maps and the Percussion Layouts. However, until I know which versions you are working with I can't provide a detailed solution.
