Notating Drum to Drums
« on: February 12, 2015, 01:38:59 PM »
Hello all,
I use Sibelius 7.5 and VDL 2.5.5 with the template for the write score. I create a lot of drum to drum parts. That simple means that the player plays on the the drum of the player next to him. Is there anyway to notate that on my score? Is there a most commonly use method? How have others notated this in the past? Thanks...

I guess you didn't get a satisfactory answer
here
?
As far as a standard, I'm not aware of one. It more depends on your personal preference. How would you like to display it to the player? From there you would figure out how to do it in Sibelius.
Options that come to mind:
Use Custom Articulation 2 or 3
Use a second (or third) Lyric Line
Use a parenthesis (keypad 2)
Or a combination of the above

Actually, it was very helpful. But as you can see in the aforementioned post, Jim suggested I ask here, so I did...
