Marimba Part playing as rolls

Hello all,

I have a problem that I hope someone can help me with ASAP. I have Sibelius 7.5 with the template from the write score. The problem Im having is I started a new piece and I selected the marimba grand staff from the add instrument selection and when I start adding notes all the marimba notes are playing like they are rolls. I don't have any slashes or anything that denotes rolls, but they are playing every note as if its a roll. This is the first time this has ever happened to me, but this is also the first time I've ever used the marimba grand staff as well. Has anyone else had this problem and better yet how do I fix the problem its driving me crazy???

Sounds like you have a Staff Text item on the staff somewhere. Be sure to have hidden elements viewable to see.

The grand staff isn't a VDL instrument so it will play back rolls for some reason.  At the very beginning do an instrument change on each staff to a VDL marimba and hide it and your playback should be fine then.
