VDL input problem

weird, i must be missing something here.
Everything is installed correctly and it all works just like it's supposed to, BUT... try this and see if you have the same problem I do...

open a new VDL template, remove the default and add 18" constan. suspended cymbal. Use input map to enter a couple of measures of nice swishy sounds. put an instrument change to shaker:metal canister, then try and input this one with the inputmap guiding you.

anyone else have this problem? I believe it only happens with that shaker... maybe I am doing something wrong, but other instrument changes give me no problem at all.

Yes, that's strange if the shaker is the only one giving you trouble.

One thing you might try is to move the instrument change (box on the staff) to the left. It may take a whole measure to the left for the notes to be entered correctly. This is a Sibelius quirk that seems to only affect the unpitched instruments.
