Buzz roll help with concert snare drum

Is there something I am missing to get buz rolls to cresc./dim?

so far I have tried the following but have had no success:

1. the cresc./dim plugin in Sibelius
2. logic pro- MIDI draw
3. write out two sets of 16th notes for the half note buzz roll (sounds way too robotic)
