Finale 27 is now available from MakeMusic. I've purchased the upgrade, downloaded, and installed the application. Currently I'm having some issues with starting. My suggestion is to proceed with caution.

For those of you wondering, I am working on templates based on Finale 27.

EDIT - I'm able to start Finale 27 after renaming some files and folders. I'll have details later after resolving an issue with Finale 25 as a result of getting Finale 27 up and running.

EDiT x2 - All versions of Finale are playing nice at the moment. I'll post steps and solutions later. Or, if you can't wait there is a thread in the VDL FB group.

This process worked much better when installing Finale 27 on my laptop.

1. download and run the installer
2. make certain to select NO when asked if you wish to have Finale 26 uninstalled, the default is to UNINSTALL Finale 26
3. after installing Finale 27 and GIFF and the Aria player you will need to restart your computer

Restarting fixed the issue I was having with Finale 27 then Finale 25 not opening. For the Applications the apps should be named Finale (this is version 27), Finale 26, and Finale 27. In the Application Support folders they are named Finale (this is for version 25), Finale 26, and Finale 27.

As is usual, you will need to copy/paste the XML files and templates to their appropriate folders. I'd also suggest verify that your preferences are pointing to the locations you want to utilize. In my case I point them to both the Computer and User locations.
