Installing Templates into Mac OS X 10.7.4 Lion

I have attached an image of the folder setup on my computer running Mac OS X 10.7 "Lion" as the printed instructions for installing the S7S SoundSet 7.1a for Sibelius 7 don't work with my file arrangement. For example, for me the Sibelius Sounds folder is a sub-folder within Avid and there are multiple sub-folders inside Sibelius Sounds, including one named Sibelius 7 Sounds so I am unclear whether the xml files should be installed directly into the Sibelius Sounds folder or instead into one of its sub-folders which include Sibelius 7 Sounds.

I am hoping that a Mac user at the Write Score or one of its customers who has successfully installed the S7S 7.1a SoundSet can advise where I should put the files I downloaded from the Write Score.

Hi Mike, welcome to the forum.

The sound set XML file needs to go into the Sibelius "Users" folder. Since you're on a Mac, that would be:

    Macintosh HD > Users > youruserneme > Library > Application Support > Avid > Sibelius 7 > Sounds


If the "Sounds" folder is not there, you'll need to create it.
