Tenor Line Shots not sounding in playback

Using Tenorline Manual sound and I'm trying to get a rimshot to playback. I have tried playing in from the midi keyboard octave -1, and also just changing the notehead, (to both left and right hands I might add) but I'm not having any luck.  Any pointers?

What sound set do you have applied to your instance(s) of VDL? Please attach a screen shot.

The sound set looks good (in the Playback Configuration). What version of VDL are you using? VDL Template 7.0a requires VDL 2.5.5 for everything to function properly - the TenorLine instruments are ones that are effected by this necessity.
