Sound Set no-show

Seems I have a common problem.

Problem: VDL_SoundSet_7.0a is not showing up in my sound set drop down box.

Specs:  Windows 8.1, Sibelius 7.1.3, VDL 2.5

The paths provided in the PDF read-me file do not exist in Windows 8, so I created the following directories and copied the XML file into them (both directories were created at install of Sibelius):

C:\Program Files\Avid\Sibelius 7\Sounds
C:\Program Files (x86)\Avid\Sibelius 7\Sounds

That did not work, so I copied the XML file into every folder and sub-folder in all the Avid directories on my machine.  Rescan & restart Sibelius - still nothing.

Please help.

Found the issue - had to unhide folders in explorer and copy XML to:

C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Avid\Sibelius 7\Playback Configurations\

Perhaps edit your install material to include this direction for Windows 8 users?

That path does not look correct. Is it actually working?

I think the path should be: C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Avid\Sibelius 7\Sounds

I don't have Windows 8 yet, so I haven't been able to completely verify myself. And I say "completely" because I've only been able to go off of what my Sibelius contact has told me: "The Windows 8 Sibelius 7 install paths are the same as they are in Windows 7". That's what I think he meant, his answer seemed a little more vague than that.

I'll look to get the docs updated soon.
