Problems with text + templates

After switching from Finale to Sibelius, I had to re-learn how to activate keyswitches and mod wheel effects with text. I read how to do it in the templates' read-me, and so far all of them have worked except the 'ped down' notation. I am trying to use this and a vibraphone stave with pedal control, but this text has no effect. How can I solve this?

Are you trying to define "ped down" in the Dictionary? That could work if setup properly, but have you tried the template defaults? Those can be found on page 28 of the Maps file. I've attached an image of what you should see.

If using one of the MW vibes, use Staff Text "ringing" / "damp".

If using one of the PED vibes, use Sibelius' standard pedal LINE markings.
