Topic: ACCEL NOT PLAYBACK BACK CORRECTLY

bobbyscottmusic

Afternoon everyone,

Currently running 8.5 right now on Mac OS 10.12.2.

I'm having issues when I input an accel. If I am at any tempo, insert an accel, then input the new tempo, the accel. moves the music to a faster tempo prior to hitting the new tempo. For example, m. 1 is at 200bpm and m. 4 is at 212bpm. When I insert an accel. for mm. 2-3, m. 3 is being performed at about 220bpm then immediately moves back to 212bpm. Is there some type of playback setting that I can fix.

I cannot attenuate this issue with any update or specific change I made. This has started happening unexpectedly.

Attached is a picture of where I would insert an accel.

Does it work correctly in a non-Template file?

Late reply, but Sibelius accelerandos are controlled in the Properties Window or Inspector (depending on Sibelius version). You assign the accelerando a percentage tempo increase, and this is what is played back, regardless of the tempo marking after the accelerando. You have to do a little math to figure out the correct percentage.

Hey Joe, how goes it?

I'm guessing he figured it out. Funny how people disappear when that happens. ;)
